The Heritage Tours is extending the journey of our Civil Rights Heritage Tour of the South to Chicago, connecting the history we experienced in the South to the people, places, and stories that shaped the movement in the North. In the birthplace of Emmett Till, participants will explore Chicago’s role in the broader civil rights story, examine the forces that shaped Black life and opportunity, and consider how issues of race, justice, community, and equality continue to resonate today.
